Health TRUST Rockdale, the grant making division of the Hospital Authority of Rockdale County (HARC), will accept applications January 30 through February 3 for the first of two grant cycles planned for 2023. Nonprofit or government agencies working to improve the physical and mental health of Rockdale residents are encouraged to consider applying.
HARC wrapped up its last grant cycle in December, voting to award $553,435 to 15 agencies, bringing the total awarded in 2016 to more than $660,000. Grant recipients during the last round were: Atlanta Cancer Care Foundation, A.R. “Gus” Barksdale Boys and Girls Club, Care & Counseling Center of Georgia, CaringWorks Inc, Entirely Ready, Friends of Disabled Adults and Children, Healthy and Wise, Mercy Heart Clinic, Phoenix Pass, Prevent Child Abuse Rockdale, Refuge Pregnancy Center, Rockdale Coalition for Children and Families, Rockdale County Juvenile Court, Rockdale County Parks and Recreation, and ViewPoint Mental Health.
Agencies interested in applying for a grant during the upcoming cycle should contact HARC Executive Director Julie Mills at [email protected] or 779.922.1441 no later than January 28.
Participation in a pre-proposal conference is mandatory for all new applicants. Previous grantees also should register for a pre-proposal conference if they are seeking funds for a program or project not previously funded. If seeking repeat funding, applicants should notify the director of their intent.
Proposals will not be accepted for this cycle from agencies that fail to contact HARC prior to the January 28 deadline.
