Georgia Power Foundation Presents Scholarship Check for Non-traditional Georgia Military College Students

On February 16, Georgia Power’s Milledgeville Area Manager, Greg Tyson, presented a check on behalf of the Georgia Power Foundation to provide more scholarships for nontraditional students at Georgia Military College (GMC). The Georgia Power Foundation has been awarding scholarships to students at GMC for more than 15 years. Georgia Power and the Georgia Power Foundation have awarded scholarships totaling more than $30,000 to more than 70 non-traditional students at all of GMC’s campuses.

The Georgia Power Foundation scholarship is open to any non-traditional GMC student with a 2.0 GPA or above.

About Georgia Military College

An accredited public-independent liberal arts college with thirteen college campuses throughout the state of Georgia serving both cadet and non-cadet students. A primary focus of Georgia Military College is in awarding associate degrees and preparing students for transfer to four-year colleges and universities, as well as providing a pathway for AAS degree holders to attain their four-year bachelor of applied science (BAS) degree.
