Family Promise of NewRock will be hosting a Valentine’s Dinner Fundraiser on February 13, 2016. The dinner will be held at 5:30 p.m. at Conyers First United Methodist Church at 921 Main Street Conyers, Georgia 30012.

The dinner menu includes a choice of pork loin or chicken, mandarin orange salad, rolls, baked vegetables, and dessert. All proceeds will support homeless children and families in Rockdale and Newton Counties.

The event will feature easy listening music by Jarius Hardage on keyboard and Micah Mckibens performing vocals and on guitar. Both of them have set out to establish a duo cover band to do easy listening music, to bring back good memories, and good vibes performing classic hits throughout the decades of music.

Micah McKIbben, the son of Mack McKibben, is 26 years old. Micah works as at McKibben Music in Covington, GA. He has been singing and playing guitar for as long as he can remember and it was a young age! He loves to sing jazz, R&B, blues, and anything that makes his heart happy. Micah is also involved in a local band in the Covington area known as The Drivetime Band where he is one of the lead singers. Music is his heart and that’s where he lives.

Jairus Hardge, known as JJ, is 25 years old and also works at McKibben Music. He teaches drums, advanced piano, and bass guitar. He has been playing drums since the age of two and has become musically inclined around other instruments over the years. JJ enjoys playing R&B, jazz, pop, gospel, and anything with a steady vibe beat. He is also apart of The Drivetime Band where he is the drummer and sings background vocals. He loves music and it shows through him.
