What: The program for the regular weekly meeting will focus on The Children’s Museum of Atlanta, a charity that focuses on young children’s ability to learn through the power of play.
Who: Jane Turner – Executive Director
Why: The Children’s Museum of Atlanta exists to support the very simple but profound truth that children learn through play and that for the youngest among us, play provides the essential foundation for life-long learning. Like children’s museums throughout the country, programs and exhibits at the Children’s Museum of Atlanta are designed specifically for young children ages 8 and under as well as their parents and caregivers. The Museum features bright, creative, hands-on exhibits designed to spark imagination and inspire discovery and learning for all children through the power of play. By engaging children through meaningful play, hands-on museum exhibits introduce young learners to core educational concepts, laying the foundation that will help our children succeed in school and ultimately in the global economy. Through outreach initiatives and community partnerships, we ensure that children of all backgrounds and abilities have access to our unique set of early learning resources.
