Don’t Worry……Be Happy!!

Happiness is a personal choice.  What “we” think and how “we” allow others to behave and treat us is up to us.  When you wake up how do you greet the day Does your bad aura spill over on others?  Do you allow others who are in a malicious mood affect your attitude?

Negative thoughts beget negative behavior and outcomes.  Don’t give in.  Often times I discuss with clients how “The Gremlins”, who are unenthusiastic creatures sitting on your shoulders, can easily discourage you and still your joy! Telling you “you can’t” or “that’s stupid” thus manufacturing doubt, which keeps you from doing or exploring life’s options.

Who controls your happiness-YOU!  Are you the driver or the passenger?  Life is not perfect that’s why we must take ownership of our emotions.  If you look to others or vices to make you happy; then what are you realistically creating?

While watching television, I came across the story of a surfer who at age 13 lost her arm due to a shark attack.  Now 21, to witness this young lady so full of life, hope, and confidence simply blew me away!  There she sat in a sun dress with her limb completely exposed for the world to endure-WOW!!!  After her near death experience, this incredible young lady conquered her fear and got right back in the water.  It made me realize, once again, no matter how dreadful you think your life is…it could always be worse.

So don’t worry ….be happy!!!
