The Rockdale Drug-Free Community Coalition is conducting a Community Needs Assessment and they would like your input. For those of you who don’t know, they are part of Rockdale Coalition and they are working to bring awareness to the community about underage drinking and drug use. Their goal is to decrease youth substance use/abuse by 5% by 2019.
The tool they use as our core measure for youth substance abuse increase and/or decrease is the Georgia Student Health Survey. Students take this survey during the fall each year. The results from the survey over the past year shows a decrease in alcohol and marijuana use among students. They want to continue to bring education and awareness to the community about the dangers, consequences and health risk of alcohol and drugs.
The Rockdale Drug-Free Community Coalition wants to make a difference in the community and with youth. They need your input. They are asking you to take a few minutes to complete a survey. The survey results will be shared with the community in the future. The survey will be available during the month of August.
