Main Street Covington and the Chamber of Commerce invite you to be Irish for the day during St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. This year is the first for Covington building a tradition as they become a little more Irish for St. Patrick’s Day. Wear your green and come out to enjoy food, entertainment, and specials.

Here are four local businesses on the Square that will have offerings.

Scoops

All week from March 10 through 17, 2023, you can stop in at Scoops to get their St. Patty’s Day Sundae. This delight consists of mint cookies and cream ice cream on a warm brownie and topped with hot fudge, whipped cream, green clover sprinkles, and a mint truffle.

Blair on the Square

Shop at Blair on the Square Boutique and make sure to get their double old fashioned glass to pour your Irish Whiskey in. This promotional Southern Jubilee high-ball glass (valued at $15.95) is free when you purchase $50 or more on Friday, March 17th.

Mystic Grill

On St. Patrick’s Day, plan to have lunch or dinner at Mystic Grill and fill up on some Irish favorites. Mystic Grill will serve Irish food and drinks, including the Irish Car Bomb, Nutty Irishman, and Lucky Leprechaun. Also, visit The Alley gift shop, tucked away under Mystic Grill, and look for the shamrock to get 10% off select items! And when you visit The Alley, little Leprechauns will get a treat.

Irish Bred Pub

Complete your celebration in St. Patrick’s Day style at the Irish Bred Pub. They will have live music, green beer, Irish drinks, food, and giveaways all day to celebrate on March 17 and 18, 2023. Entertainment goes from 6pm to midnight on Friday and from 2pm to midnight on Saturday. In the musical lineup are Whiskey & Cream, Keltic Kudzu, Rusty Tate, Johnny Roquemore, and Sans Abri. And it’s fun for the kids on Saturday when Tamara Haase will be providing festive face painting. Lenny the Leprechaun will be roaming around the pub (and downtown) all weekend.
