Welcome to the exciting world of SCUBA diving - the world's fastest-growing sport! The adventure begins with the P.A.D.I. entry-level certification course: SCUBA DIVER. Read on to find out more about the course, Orbit Marine Sports, your instructor and SCUBA diving in general. Plunge right in!
This course comprises the academic and confined water (i.e. pool) portion of the training necessary for the PADI Open Water certification card. Four open-water dives are required to complete your certification, and are not included in the class fee. These dives can be done in local waters with Orbit Marine from May - Oct., or you can be issued a referral so that you can complete the dives at a vacation destination.
MINIMUM AGE: 12
COURSE FEE: $255.00 Fee for Y members as well as non-members.
Non-members do not have to join the Y to take the course.
