OK, why do I say that the bug has got me. Well first lets take a look at the following screenshots:
These are two benchmarks taken from SiSoft Sandra 2001. Here you can see that the Dhrystone rating went from 2401 MIPS, to 2815 MIPS. This is before attempting any other sort of tweaks or enhancements. All that was changed was the clock multiplier from 8.5x to 10x. Once I saw the improvement, and played some combat flight simulator I was hooked. I needed more speed, I needed to maximize performance. Now on to Phase 2 |
