Victor Armendariz, Candidate for US Congress District 4, invites all bikers and the community to support a Bike Run to raise money to help families with the cost of cancer treatment. The Bike Run will take place on Sunday, October 16, 2016, beginning in Covington at 1:00 p.m. The proceeds will benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta for pediatric cancer treatment. Riders are asked to meet on the Covington Square by 1:00 p.m. and the ride will end in downtown Stone Mountain, Georgia.
The community is invited, even if they do not ride, at the start or end of the ride to meet Victor and the bikers.
“Cancer is horrible disease and it impacts the friends and family just as much as it does the patient. I lost a brother to Leukemia and then suffered through cancer in 2012. I have been in remission and am proud to say that. I saw the difficulty that families suffered and this near and dear to my heart ever since. I am running for Congress to be a servant for a country that has given me so much. There is no other country on the planet with the generosity of Americans. We take care of our people regardless of skin color, gender or political affiliation. This is my way of helping pay it forward. These kids, and their families endure more than many people realize,” said Victor Armendariz.
