BAD WEATHER INFORMATION Notice of school closing due to inclement weather can be heard on the following radio stations, WLAD 800 AM, WINE 98Q FM and EZN 99.9 and Channels 3, 6 and 8 in Connecticut School closings are listed under Danbury Public and Parochial schools; so, they will not say "Sacred Heart" specifically, and they usually are heard by 6:00 a.m., either for closings or delayed opening. If there is a delayed opening, it is 90 minutes, which means we start school at 10:00a.m. There is no Early Morning Care on delayed opening days. Notice of early dismissal (due to weather) can be heard on the radio at least by 11:00a.m., if not earlier. If all Danbury schools are being dismissed (public and parochial) dismissal time is 1:00p.m. PLEASE NOTE: In case there is a delayed opening due to bad weather on a day that is scheduled for early dismissal, that day then automatically becomes a regular dismissal day 2:40p.m. ALSO: In case of early dismissal due to inclement weather, there will be No Extend Day.
