Astral Projection

There is one persistent claim, among the living, that would seem to substantiate an afterlife. And that is the phenomenon of astral projection.

The thought of a person leaving his or her body and wandering about as an amorphous mass of mobile intelligence is a startling concept. Yet despite accusations of everything from fraud to out-and-out insanity, those who insist that they have experienced astral projection steadfastly maintain that they are telling the absolute truth.

Much like lucid dreaming, astral projection allows your conscious mind to travel within the astral realm.

Your spirit energy leaves your body behind and is connected by a "Silver Cord".  The cord acts like an umbilical cord in that it connects thoughts and energies from the physical body to the astral body.

Time and space are twisted and what might feel like hours is actually occurring in minutes.

Within the astral dimension it is possible to experience alternate realities, and with practice one can choose their destinations, even customize their own.  The main difference between astral projection and lucid dreaming is that when lucid dreaming your spirit body remains within your physical body.  While lucid dreaming you’re consciously able to change and recreate your dream environment but your limited to your own dream reality.  With astral projection your spirit body leaves your physical body and enters an astral realm that is affected by other energies outside of your own.

How To Astral Project

The first rule is to be totally relaxed.  Free from outside noise, you should be comfortable and well rested.

Concentrate on your feet, tense the muscles and then relax. Move up to your calves’ tensing the muscles and relax.  Continue up your body tensing and relaxing all your muscles all the while breathing deep slow breaths.  You may need to repeat this exercise until your entire body is fully relaxed and your mind is clear.

Focusing your mind on your breathing you will be able to push out random thoughts.  This does take some practice but is well worth the effort.

When you are fully relaxed you will feel your body become very heavy.  At this point you are entering a trance state.  Your body is asleep but your mind is fully awake.

Now imagine that you are a leaf gently floating down, down, down, into a deep well.  Continue to breath slow and deep.  You may now feel as if your body has become incredibly huge or incredibly small. This is a sure indication that you are in a trance state and ready to astral project.

At this point you should be able to visualize your astral body lifting from the physical.  With your eyes still closed, see your arms lifting. It’s important that you do NOT move any physical muscles. As you lift your astral body out of your physical body you may feel a tingling or fuzzy feeling. This is normal and can be quite pleasurable.  After you have completely exited your physical body you are free to travel at will.

Don’t be alarmed if you are not able to see your spirit body.  Remember if at any time you want to return to your physical body all you have to do is move a muscle.  I find it easiest to move my toes.  The silver cord cannot brake for any reason and if it is your will to re-enter your body you can always do so.

  Good Luck and enjoy!
