Our third contest was the biggest yet! With twelve entries, it was incredibly difficult to judge. Though each entry was really entry, Nick Goodner's Gideon and Kevin Polo's John the Baptist really stuck out. The object of the contest was to create remakes of cards that really needed, like, well, just see the entries! Nick and Kevin will receive prizes supplied by Cactus Game Design.

Here are the twelve entries. Except for the first two, they are in the order received:

First Place - Gideon - 7/4 Gold Hero - "May search deck for Wool fleece and add it to artifact pile deactivated. If Gideon bands to 3 or more characters this turn, heroes may not be blocked this turn." (Nick Goodner)

Second Place - John the Baptist - 8/8 White Hero - "When John the Baptist enters battle for the third time, search draw pile and exchange Son of God with one card in your hand. Shuffle draw pile. (Kevin Polo)

Judas Iscariot - 3/3 Black Evil Character - "Look through your opponent's draw pile for Son of God. If Son of God is in opponent's draw pile, discard it and Judas Iscariot. No new blocker may enter battle." (Justin Sangillo)
Elisha - 4/4 Purple Hero - "If Bear is in play, holder may choose two evil characters in play or set-aside area to be discarded. Special ability may be used once per game." (Brad Dembo)
Prince Jonathan - 10/10 Purple Hero - "Hero may band to David. Hero may not be blocked by King Saul. Gains 3/3 if banded to David. May not be interrupted, prevented, or negated." (Jonathan Brodhacker)
Judas Iscariot seems to be quite popular. This entrant makes him a 6/12 Crimson Evil Character with the special ability, "Son of God may not be played while Judas is in play. Discard this character if you have no non-human EC's in play." (Dave Daughety)
Esther - 8/8 Purple Hero - "While Esther is in play, Haman's Plot has no effect in the game." (Drew Pegram)
Judas Iscariot - 8/7 Crimson Evil Character - "Can only be defeated or blocked by an original Apostle. Cannot be prevented, interrupted or negated." (Stephen Bosher)
Fallen Warrior - 15/15 Black Evil Character - "Evil Character loses 5/5 for every rescue attempt he successfully blocks. If Evil Character reaches */0 or less, discard." (CampbellKCDM)
Jonah - 2/2 Blue Hero - "When Jonah attacks or makes a rescue, flip a coin. If you lose the flip, your attempt fails. If you win the flip, Jonah gains 8/8 and is immune to Leviathan and sea creatures. If Casting Lots is plated, remove Jonah from the game and from your deck, and he cannot be used for 3 days." (Isaac Strader)
Gabriel - 9/11 Silver Hero - "If played while Mary is in play, search own draw pile for Son of God and place it in your hand." (Benjamin Arp)
Jonah - 8/8 White Hero - "The first time hero is defeated set hero aside for three turns on returning hero has the ability to convert one human evil character in battle per turn." (Zeb Johnson)

Thank you all for the entries. After a few things are settled, I'll post the prizes here. Stay tuned for the next contest!
