24" Catboat
Boat was Redone after many runs, To work out the minor details and to make it look more scale. The same running gear was used, and a new Astro 212 ESC was added to loose weight from the 4 penlite batteries for Radio. Radio was updated from AM to FM. Top Canopys were made by using Sig clear plastic airplane cowl as a fiberglass mold, making two and bonding it to the deck & cut out. 2 more cowls were used to make perfect fitting windshelds. Hatch now has a foam tape for watertight seal. Steps were added to the hulls, but I think it make little difference. Boat does run a little faster now that it is lighter and more aerodynamic. This Boat needs a large area and fairly smooth water, and a good rest between runs, it's a real Tiger !
