FIRST GENERATION

1. Wincent RADASKIEWICZ was born on March 10, 1867 in Russia-Poland. The death certificate has an error in the birth date. It states the date as 1817, probably just a clerical mistake.

He immigrated in 1890. He resided Pleasant and Flanders in 1906 in Southington, Hartford Co., CT. He was a farmer on May 10, 1910 in Southington, Hartford Co., CT. He appeared on the census on May 10, 1910 in Southington, Hartford Co., CT. They were living on Flanders St. at this time. His name was entered in the census as Ralph Vinze due to the language barrier. He resided Milldale Ave. in 1914 in Southington, Hartford Co., CT. He died on May 13, 1916 in Southington, Hartford Co., CT. The death certificate has an error in the birth date. It states the date as 1817, probably just a clerical mistake. He was buried on May 16, 1916 in Southington, Hartford Co., CT. His grave is at St. Thomas Cemetery in Southington, CT in section 12. The plot is located just to the right of a large cedar tree. There is a ground level stone that appears to be newer than 1916.

He was married to Malgorzata Zofia CHOJNACKA (daughter of Andrzej CHOJNACKI and Marcjanna KRETKOWSKA) on February 28, 1897 in Bridgeport, New Haven Co., CT.

Malgorzata Zofia CHOJNACKA was born on July 1, 1875 in Chodorazek, Skepe, Lipno, Warszawa, RP. Her birth certificate is an extract dated 5 March 1928 from the Roman Catholic Parish of Karnkowo.

She immigrated in 1898. She resided Milldale Ave. in 1917 in Milldale, Hartford Co., CT. She appeared on the census in 1920 in Southington, Hartford Co., CT. Immigrated 1896 and citizenship listed as Alien. She resided 41-42 Roberts St. on January 21, 1924 in Bristol, Hartford Co., CT. On June 25, 1926 she bought out her son-in-law and daughter, Jan and Katie Adaskiewicz's share of the house. She resided 56 Cresent Dr. Bristol, CT on July 19, 1930 in Bristol, Hartford Co., CT. The Warranty Deed describes the property as "that certain piece or parcel of land located in said Bristol with all buildings and improvements thereon, located on "THE BARNES TRACT", so-called, and more particularly described as LOT #16 on Map of said Tract". She purchased the house from Ignacy Klocko. She died on March 9, 1955 in Bristol, Hartford Co., CT. She was buried on March 12, 1955 in St. Joseph's New Cemetery, Bristol, Hartford Co., CT. Retired for Wallace Barns. He died on December 28, 1970 in Bristol, Hartford Co., CT. He was buried on December 30, 1970 in Bristol, Hartford Co., CT. He was buried in St. Joseph's New Cemetery. Grampa Joe and his parents spent many good time at Lake Compounds in Bristol, CT. He also enjoyed fishing. He took me with him to Bridges Pond. He would sit and bottom fish for bullhead and I would try to catch anything I could, but not to close to him, I didn't want to bother him. He was married to Mary YAROSS (daughter of Jerzy YAROSS and Katarzyna SALAK) on October 20, 1926 in New Britain, Hartford Co., CT. My grandparents met thought my grandfather's sister Sophie. She and my grandmother worked together at a mill in Plainville. The best man was Vincent Radaskiewicz and the maid of honor was Agnes Porlylak. Joe and his family spent many good time at Lake Compounds in Bristol, CT. Mary YAROSS was born in Forestville, Hartford Co., CT. She retired in Bristol, Hartford Co., CT. Retired for Ingrham Clock. Joseph Adam RADASKIEWICZ and Mary YAROSS had the following children:
