Beginner Chords- Moveable Forms
The circles indicate finger positions. The numbers indicate the preferred
finger for playing the note. Fingers are numbered 1 for the
index finger through 4 for the pinkie. The thumb is a
T.
If a string in not to be played, it is a white line.
The root of the chord is shown in yellow. Whatever note
that root position is one, that's the name of the chord. For example, the
first chord shown (upper left) is a Major with the root on the first
string (as well as in two other places). If you play this chord at the
third fret, that note will be a G so it's a G Major
chord.
