The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics

The national organiztion providing curriculum, professional and assessment standards on mathematics education. It is dedicated to improving the teaching and learning of mathematics.

The National Science Teachers Association

An organization promoting excellence in science education. Its members include scientists, business and industry representatives, and administrators. The NSTA now publishes a children's magazine called Dragonfly in addition to its five journals and many books.

The Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development

The Association provides professional development for those interested in curriculum and supervision, promotes educational equity for all students,and serves as a leader in education information services.

The American Library Association

The ALA is the oldest and largest library association today. They are dedicated to promoting high quality information services.

The Department of Education

The U.S. Department of Education has a wealth of information on education statistics. Links to ERIC digests are included and press releases are updated in a timely fashion. A good place to find the latest news on American education.

National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS)

The Web site of the national organization for independent schools.

An organization founded in 1893 dedicated to promoting engineering and technology education.
