Fun Site Picks for August 2002

X-Entertainment - An excellent humor site that mainly consists of articles about 80's toys, movies, TV shows, comercials, etc.  If you grew up in the 80's you have to read this site.  Where else can you find thought provoking articles about Skeletor and Saved by the Bell?

Fark - A collection of links to various websites.  A lot of odd news and the like.  Very entertaining, will keep you occupied for hours.   New sites posted daily.

Death Metal Britney - The website that answers the question; What would it be like if Britney Spears dressed like a Goth and played death metal?
 
 

Fun Site Picks for March 2002

B3TA: What's New Pussycat? - Cats. Tom Jones. Hours of entertainment. A memory game that flashes pictures of cats and you try to pick out the picture you haven't seen. And it's all set to the groovy music of Tom Jones. It's actually pretty challenging. (And funny.)

B3TA.com - This site boasts a huge collection of links to some of the webs craziest sites. Take a look, it's always good for a few laughs. Best viewed with Internet Explorer (Netscape will work.)

Mr. Waffle - A silly animation that I found amusing and oddly disturbing.  Discover the fate of Mr. Waffle, if you dare.

How to ____ . - An odd little site that contains information on how to do things. Some of the info is real, some is a joke.
Not the best designed site, but I found it amusing.
 

Guess the Dictator/Sitcom Character- This site pits you against a computer program.  The object of the game is to try to stump the computer.  You pick a sitcom character (or dictator) that you think the computer won't know; and the site asks you yes/no questions until it guesses the character or you stump it.
    The program learns from past players so it can only be stumped by a character one time.  It's REALLY hard to stump.  After a lot of trying, I was able to stump it with a really obscure show.  Try it for yourself and see how you do.  It's a lot of fun.

Hypnogogic Studios - A showcase of some of my friends' graphic design work.  Most of it's pretty weird.  His artwork ranges from dark to downright scary.  Take a look at it yourself.  Site is designed much better than this page. ;)

Tired Fairy - Page for another friends artwork.  Her art is fantasy influenced.  Give it a look.  Site designed by Hypnogogic Studios.

SNOOD- The game that almost made me flunk out of college, I now pass the secrets of the mighty Snoods on to you. It's a puzzle type game, that's more addictive than Tetris was. You try to link little creatures called Snoods together to clear the screen.  The Snoods make faces at you while you play.  Lots of fun, however be warned, if you download this game don't plan on leaving your computer for the next few days. The Snoods will mock you as your life slowly drifts away. (Download Required)
