About Dolphins

Dolphins are the most magnificent creatures on earth (along with orcas). They are the smartest creatures next to humans. Dolphins are mammals, not fish. They are warm blooded like humans and give birth to one baby at a time called a calf. At birth, a baby bottlenose dolphin is about 90-130 centimeters long and will grow to approximatly 4 meters, living for about 40 years (even though I wish they would live longer... no dolphin deserves to die!!!) They are highly sociable and gentle creatures. They live in pods, and they interact with dolphins from other pods, from time to time.
