Artwork

I work in a variety of media:  conté crayon; acrylic; oil; graphite pencil.  Since many of my corporate Web tasks involve illustration, I also use a Wacom tablet with digital artwork applications to create purely digital images.

Digital Effects

The original photograph (below, left) was printed from a water-stained and scratched negative.  Overall, the image had poor contrast.  In addition, the subject had swallowed during the exposure, resulting in the lowered throat line just under her jaw.

The photograph was scanned and opened in Adobe® Photoshop® 4.0.  The water spots and scratches were retouched by hand, brightness and contrast were adjusted with the Levels menu feature.  Using multiple tools, the subject's throat was also adjusted by hand to more closely depict her actual profile (below, right).
