Those Eyes

I sense an air of sadness

through the smile that you wear.

There's someting in your eyes,

that speaks of the lonliness hidden there.

I know not what you seek,

or even if you would tell,

but those eyes do tell me, a story,

of a depth of untold hell.

I long to soothe away, those sorrows,

erase from your eyes, all the pain you have ever known.

Show you how to trust in your heart, once again,

to accept love, you were never shown.

For these eyes of mine have adored you,

they have, right from the start.

If you would take the time to look deep inside,

you'd see the love that comes from my heart.
