SORRY I NEVER TOLD YOU

 Sorry I never told you,

all I wanted to say,

too afraid to speak my heart,

afraid you would turn away.

 Now as the months grow longer

and you haven't a clue,

My eyes shed many a tear.

for I'm afraid to say "I love You."

 Three little words that mean so much,

yet spoken by some, without a care.

three little words, that could change your life,

but are held back, because they may scare.

 Feelings are real and meant to be shared,

though, sometimes are never told.

The fear of losing one's best friend,

words unspoken, from within the heart's folds.

 To speak, to feel, to touch your dreams.

To say what you feel inside,

are lost in one moment, forever.

Silence too deep, rushes in like the tide.

 Sorry I never told you,

All I wanted to say.

The fear was too much to take the chance,

to loose you, "My Friend" that way!
