Section 3.6 Clearing an Equation of Fractions or Decimals In equations containing fractions or decimals, you can use the multiplication property to make the equation easier to solve. To clear the equation of fractions or decimals, multiply both sides of the equation by the least common denominator of all the fractions or decimal fractions in the equation. Take class notes. Before starting your homework, rework the examples that are illustrated in this section of your textbook and the examples that I demonstrated in class. Then do your homework.
