Janet Bair has been a professional librarian for many
years. She has written numerous articles and is a regular
reviewer for School Library Journal, with over a
hundred reviews to her credit. Devotions for
Young Readers is her first book.
Janet holds a Master's in Library Science from Southern
Connecticut State University and was recently recognized as
a leader for young women by the Fairfield University Chapter
of the Association of University Women.
James Bair has been teaching high school English since
1980. He is more of teacher than a programmer. His
programs teach!
His experience in writing some 30 freelance
articles and a few published poems has contributed to
his teaching job. He was recognized by the
National Council of Teachers of English in 1987
(Departmental Award) and in 1990 he was named a General
Electric STAR (Student and Teacher Achievement
Recognition) Teacher.
In addition to teaching in school, he has tutored
students in the SAT since 1989 using his knowledge and
sharing his experience to help students score an average
of 150 points higher on their combined SAT scores. He
shares the same information in his Verbal Vanquish
program.
James' own 1500 SAT score helped him get into Harvard
where he graduated with high honors. He holds
a Master's in Education from Southern Connecticut State
University. He is listed in Who's Who Among America's
Teachers, Who's Who in Education, and Who's Who in the
East.
He has been a guest "speaker" at the CompuServe
Education Forum, where he logs on regularly.
He is a member of the Association of Shareware
Professionals (ASP) and the Educational Software
Cooperative (ESC).
