While presenting the award, Georgia Farm Bureau Federation President Gerald Long stated that Isakson“has consistently earned this award though his efforts on behalf of the industry in the areas of trade, on food security and safety, regulatory reform and technology.”

“I’m proud to again receive this award on behalf of Georgia’s agriculture industry,” said Isakson.“Agriculture is Georgia’s number one industry, and I am proud to fight for the interests of our growers in every policy area.”

Isakson has consistently earned this award during his time in Congress.

About The American Farm Bureau Award

The American Farm Bureau Federation gives the Friend of Farm Bureau award at the end of each Congress to legislators based on their voting record in agreement with American Farm Bureau Federation’s priority issues. The American Farm Bureau Federation’s Board of Directors established these priority issues.

About Georgia Farm Bureau

Founded in 1937, Georgia Farm Bureau is the state’s largest general farm organization and has 158 county offices. Its volunteer members actively participate in local, state and national activities that promote agriculture awareness to their non-farming neighbors. Georgia Farm Bureau also has 20 agricultural commodity advisory committees that give the organization input on issues pertinent to the major crops and livestock grown in Georgia.
