CLINICAL TREATMENT

  • Emergency Crisis and Triage Services (860-895-3100) - offers a full range of crisis support in the community seven days per week.

  • Central Intake and Care Management Program (860-895-3015)- coordinates access to InterCommunity's integrated services and programs in a timely manner. A clinician is available from 8 am to 10 pm, seven days a week, to take calls requesting services and to provide information.

  • Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic provides outpatient treatment to adults, including those who have been discharged from psychiatric hospitals or who may be at risk of hospitalization for psychiatric reasons.

  • Assertive Outreach Program provides adults who have a severe mental illness with residential assistance and intensive support within the community.

  • Co-occurring Disorder Program provides treatment to adults who are dually-diagnosed with both a psychiatric illness and addiction disorders.

RECOVERY AND REHABILITATION

  • Common Ground the Rehabilitation Program facilitates skill-building and recreational activities daily, and the Social Club operates during evening and weekends hours.

  • Career Opportunities prepares adults with mental health disabilities for employment opportunities and helps them choose, get and keep employment.

  • Case Management Services coordinates access to appropriate community services and insures continuity of care for adults living with prolonged mental illnesses.

  • Housing Services provides intense support, coordinated treatment, case management services, and staff availability 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • Homeless Outreach and Support - Helps those living with a mental illness and addiction disorder acquire housing linked with adequate support.

  • Respite Care - Short-term care that helps prevent unnecessary hospitalizations.


EDUCATION AND PREVENTION

  • Education Workshops provides knowledge and information about mental illness, including specific diagnosis, treatments, community services and coping strategies. Offered periodically throughout the year.

  • Warmline (860 895-3013) operated by consumers, offers comfort and reassurance to those needing someone to talk with during evening hours.

  • Family Support Group supports those who have a loved one with a psychiatric illness through weekly meetings, which are facilitated by a mental health professional.

  • Parenting Support Group - Provides support and education to parents who live with a mental illness and/or addiction.
