Family Support Group


        The Family Support Group offers a supportive, safe environment to the families that are dealing with the challenges of mental illness. The group draws upon the experience and knowledge of its members and a professionally-trained facilitator. A range of subjects, feelings, attitudes, and strategies are explored to gain understanding and an increased quality of living for both family and family member/consumer.

  • Media Impact on Mental Illness
  • Ready Words to Address Stigma
  • Siblings: The Bond and the Fear
  • Extended Family—Guilt
  • PEC—Physicians Emergency Certificate
  • Handling Crises Situations

Psycho-educational seminars are offered periodically at InterCommunity.
