InterCommunity provides a multi-layered treatment approach to consumers who are dually-diagnosed with both a mental illness and a chemical substance abuse disorder. InterCommunity estimates that 45% of the consumers who seek treatment at InterCommunity suffer with both disabilities, and it is committed to this vulnerable, under-served population.

A specialized treatment team consists of case managers, clinicians, and a psychiatrist. The program utilizes a variety of therapeutic modalities, including case management, individual and group therapy, psychiatric evaluation, and medication assessment and monitoring.
