Career Opportunities
Career Opportunities assists individuals who receive mental health services at InterCommunity to secure and retain employment. We believe that competent provision of clinical and employment services leads to successful employment outcomes. A diversified staff including support service providers, mental health clinicians, and psychiatrists provides consumers with on-going support through a wide range of vocational rehabilitation services:
- Job readiness assessment, individual motivation, functioning, and skills level
- Interest assessment, using standardized assessment tools
- Resume preparation assistance
- Job search, assistance using internet, Department of Labor and print media
- Application and interviewing skill building
- Job support, on-site when requested by employer/employee
- Ongoing support for job retention
- Situational Assessment, Job Coaching and Job Placement for BRS referred clients, contracted by the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services
- Assistance in registration for job training with the Workforce Development Board.
- Assistance for employers in tax credit registration, when they hire clients eligible under the Work Opportunity or Welfare to Work Tax Credit guidelines.
