What Do Students Do All Day?
Students initiate a wide variety of activities both on and off
campus. They work alone and in groups; in classes and with individual staff; and sometimes
apprentice with professionals in the community. Students pursue studies in science,
history, literature, and languages, along with the fundamentals of reading, writing, and,
math. Artistic interests include music, painting, dance, photography, poetry, wood
carving, and costume design. Physical activities include tennis, skating, skiing,
skateboarding, and horseback riding. Student projects have included building a log cabin,
staging theatrical performances, construction projects for the school, building a school
float, and organizing dances.
What Have Greenwood Graduates Gone On To Do?
Alumni of Greenwood and other Sudbury Schools enjoy success in
college and a wide variety of careers. Follow-up studies are available.
What Are The Enrollment Requirements?
Greenwood has a policy of open admissions, accepting all
applicants ages 5 through 19. An admissions interview gives applicants and their families
an opportunity to learn more about the school. Enrollment may take place at any time prior
to or during the school year.
