As of March 5, 2000:
The Snowden Environmental Trust has about $19,000 in the bank!
In the last twelve months we paid out $2,982 to various environmental causes.
These include:
- Providing long-lasting, low-wattage flourescent bulbs to the Kerrville Folk
Festival in Texas for use in the restrooms and showers, where, during the
festival, lights burn 24 hours a day.
- Made donations to the Carolina Kids Conservancy in North Carolina, an
organization that helps educate schoolchildren about nature, bringing animals
into schools, helping to get kids involved in environmental conservation
projects.
- Made a donation for Barred-Rock Owl research in the Appalachian highlands.
- Made a donation to the Napa Valley Land Trust in California
- Made a donation to the Mount Grace Land Trust near Dar's home in Western
Massachusetts for protection of a wildlife corridor.
- Made a donation to the Connecticut River Watershed Council.
The donations totalled $2,982.00
I took no money for facilitating the work of the SET.
All the best,
