     Polite Society is a performing ensemble dedicated to the development of theatrical performances and the recreation of period social events (for other organizations) that reflect the elegance and splendor of the Victorian era and the spirit and excitement of the Ragtime era. 

     Polite Society has been involved in numerous dance demonstrations and performances throughout the United States for organizations such as the American Red Cross, Easter Seals, the Connecticut and Wethersfield Historical Societies, the Mark Twain Memorial, the Wadsworth Atheneum, Biltmore and Sagamore (Vanderbilt Mansion Museums), the Hartford Symphony, the Meriden Symphony, and the United States Coast Guard, among others. 

     Polite Society has travelled extensively throughout the United States and for the last three years has toured extensively in Japan. 

     Polite Society is also pleased to announce that it recently made its film debut in the Florentine Films production of "The Boyhood of John Muir".
