Toys
I
believe that a part of us always stays a child, and loves to play with toys, I
am no exception. I have made several toy prototypes, but have not pursued any of
them for one reason or another. One of the most complex was my spin
writer. This microchip powered device had a row of 24 bi color led's that
was spun around at high speed. as it spins the leds would light at each memory
location in picture ram one bit per each red and one bit for
each green led. A drawing pen allows you to draw by
erasing lit led's that are under the pen tip. The led's condition can then be inverted
to show the drawn image. up to 4 page animations can be saved in the non volatile
memory. The control panel is the red led's around the outside of the regular
led drawing area.
I built my first magnetic levitation machine over 30 years ago, and it is still fascinating to watch.
