LEONARD.	A 5 foot square pillar, topped by a square urn.

East face:  	Charles Leonard. D May 23, 1892, AE 65. (over a GAR Badge.)
North face:   	Eliza J. Leonard. Born Aug 8, 1899
West face:    	Panel has Wheat Sheaf.
South face:   	Panel has Cross & Roses.

MERRELL.	Similar pillar, topped with round urn.

North face:  	Nathan Merrell. D May 13, 1909, AE 86.
West face:      "To the Sacred memory of Almira E. H., wife of Nathan Merrell, 
		Jan 4, 1822 + July 2, 1814.  A faultless woman, whose life was 
    passed in unselfishness, love and duty to others.  She died as she lived,
     a brave, true spirit, an example of the highest womanhood."
South face:   	Charles L.  Only son of Almira E. H. M.  8-25-1948 + 11-23-1900
East face:  	Blank panel.

			       Riverside Cemetery

     Opened in 185.. Riverside is an early example of the "Park Cemetery,"
pioneered by Mt. Alban in Boston.  The main road up from the gate and Memorial
Chapel leads past the most elgant and imposing statues and mausoleums.

ARROL.         A solid, horizontal structure, with ornamental columns.

North face:	John Arrol. Born Johnstown, Scotland, 7-27-1818 + 11-13-1882

South face:	Wheat Sheaf & Sickle
East face:	Figure with raised hand, other hand holding Book. (like actual
	statues atop monuments at North Woodbury and Old St. Joseph's)  Also,
	inscription: "There is Rest in heaven."
Markers:	Three horiz. grave markers.  FATHER, MOTHER & a taller AUNTIE.


BLAKESLEE.	A two-sided upright tablet, having an arched top, inscribed:
			"He Giveth His Beloved Sleep."

		by a detailed Cross, lying by the back side, broken off.

		Jesus and three children.
North Face:	Died July 17, 1881, Age 2 years & 5 months.  Also a Lily Spray.


MOSER.		At eight feet, the tallest Zinc in Riverside Cemetery!  Set
		on a granite base, it is topped by an elaborate Urn held by
		two winged Angels.

WOLCOTT:	A small, squat monument with a sloping top bearing name.

South face.	Ida May, Daughter of H. J. & Nellie M. Wolcott.
		Died July 22-1887  AE 12 Yrs, 6 Mos, 19 Days.
North face:	"Gone from our home, but not from our hearts."
Note:		Both inscriptions set upon a tassled, vertically hanging banner.

WOODING.	A five foot column, topped by a square urn finial.

South face:	Mary R. Edge, Wife of T. S. Wooding.  5-15-1854 + 8-8-1892
East face:	Wheat Sheaf & Sickle
North face: 	Cross and Flowers (mostly roses)
West face:	Rose Wreath

			   Old St. Joseph's Cemetery	

KELLEY.    A large Zinc monument, topped with a standing female figure,
	raised right hand, with index finger pointing upwards.  The left arm 
	holds at her side an opened book.  The structure is listing slighty to 
	the west, the base both bowing on the west and south sides. But no 
	cracks in evidence.  Is apparently identical to similar monument in
	North Cemetery in Woodbury.

	North face:	Daniel Kelley. D Jan 12, 1883, AE 64.
	West face:	Maggie M. Kelley. D July 4, 1881, AE 23.  Anchor motif.
	South face:	Cross & Roses on panel, Dove on base, also mfg's name,
    Monument Bronze Co., Bridgeport, CT, at foot of base.
	East face:	Mourner & Cross on panel, Wheat Sheaf on base.


		Mary Ann, daughter of George and Mary Bragel
		   Died March 19, 1860. AE 5 Weeks, 1 Day.	

	       "Stand by my friends, wipe off your tears,
		And I'll be here till Christ appears.
		And when he comes, I hope to rise,
		Unto that life that never dies."


		Mary Ann Kelly, April 5, 1856. AE 20 Yrs and 7 Mos.
	  "A Native of Queens Co., Ireland.  May Her Soul Rest in Peace"

	       "Her spirit's fled and reigns above,
		In realms of joy of peace and love.
		Dull Death has done his part.
		Where shall we hear the splendid laugh,
		To give her name to years to come.
		Ah! Hear it in the heart."
