A Bullfrog Miscellany from Urban Edibles www.urbanedibles.com/index

			GUESS WHO'S KERMIT TO DINNER?

In the 1950s (according to Russell Ash's "Bizarre Books") there was an
attempt to get Americans eating farmed giant bullfrogs. A recipe book
included the following delicacies. (With a few added variations...)

    Bullfrog Puree Sandwich Spread
    Bullfrog Broth
    Bullfrog Pie, Country Style
    Jellied Bullfrog (a'la aspic)
    Bullfrog Croak-ettes
    Bullfrog with Dumplings
Grilled Bullfrog Sandwich (A new BLT: Bullfrog, lettuce and tomato!)
    Bullfrog with Dominant Mayonnaise Dressing
Escalloped Bullfrog with Celery and Potatoes
    Minced Bullfrog Savory Sandwiches
    Bullfrog Short Cakes
    Bullfrog Eye Salad
Creamed Bullfrog and Mushrooms (What about Toad on Toadstool?)
Frog in the Hole (Fried bread with frog in the middle. A quantum
"leap" over the Brits' traditional "Toad in the Hole.")
			And finally....
Rana-mole Ole! (Bullfrog Blender Guacamole Dip)

Feastive Frog Yule Log (Frog ice cream mold)

			Cocktail Menu:

Red Frog, Dead Frog, Frog's Butt, Vomiting Frog, Hopping Toad
Fat Frog, Irish Frog, Green Frog, Swamp Frog, Squash-a-Frog
And for the kiddies, a non-alcoholic Froggie Croak-tail (Limeade)

			 Bon Appetite...!
