Antennas...Up close and Personal


I don't know who would get excited about looking at antenna photos except for DXers or Audiophiles, but if you fit into either category, this are for you. Even if you are neither, go ahead and look. These are rated G.
 
If you didn't know, the Channel Master Probe 9 comes in two parts. You put these two sections together when you assemble it. Take a look:


The left section has the 5 directors.


The right section has the four folded dipoles.

Put them together and you get this:


The CM in my backyard when I was getting it ready to put on the roof.

Now here is a photo of a Probe 9 and an old vintage Finco FM5. This FM5 is on the verge of falling apart, which is why I got the CM antenna. The CM is a better antenna anyway.
