Just inside the front doors

The hallway, looking from the side, displays portraits of ministers First Church has had over the many years, as well as paintings of the church.

In the back of the sanctuary

This lithograph which hangs in the back of the sanctuary tells a tremendous story on its own.  First Congregational Church is connected to New London in so many aspects.

Inside the sanctuary

Facing the rear of the beautiful sanctuary

This picture is taken from the front of the church looking towards the rear.  The doors down the aisle are the main doors into the sanctuary.  The pews in the center rows and the rows to the far right and left are capable of seating several hundred at a time.  The choir loft flanks the organ, located at the center of the upper balcony.  The facade of organ pipes was first installed with the Hook and Hastings organ in 1870.
