Our Commodore John Kerr and his first mate Jay Rusgrove
Welcome to the Western Ct. Ice Yacht & Social Club website. The club
consists of hardwater sailors from Connecticut that sail the frozen waters
of Candlewood Lake in the Danbury area and Bantam Lake in Litchfield County.
are taking off for what will turn out to be an awesome scooter ride.
With perfectly smooth ice and strong winds John and Jay had some wild rides,
with Jay, at one time, coming out of the boat during a 360 spin.
A big thank you and a whooo-hooo goes out to Jon Kerr for all his hospitality he has shown to us
and all the other iceboaters that have sailed Bantam over the last few years. Anyone who has sailed on Bantam knows Jon and Sandy
and we are greatful for all that they do and put up with and for all their help.
