The Housatonic Valley Region Chapter of the AACA was founded in 1973 as the Newtown Restorers Club. The club was founded on the premise of helping others work on and restore their antique cars
In September of 1976 the Antique Automobile Club of America accepted our club as a regional chapter and from then on the club was known as the Housatonic Valley Region of the A.A.C.A.
In 1998 we celebrated our 25th anniversary as a car club and we now have a membership of over 100 dedicated antique auto enthusiasts. The club meets every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm at the Hawleyville Volunteer Firehouse on Rt. 25 in Newtown.
Our members participate in area parades, car shows, club tours in spring and fall, a summer picnic and other social events that you are sure to enjoy. So feel free to stop by at the meetings and see what we are all about.
