To find tailstock offset
The letter "K" is the second number in the metric taper nomenclature.
Example, a taper has a 1:30 rate, that is, it changes 1mm in diameter for
each 30mm of length. The second number, in this case 30, is used in the
formula to find the large or small diameter of the taper when one or the
other piece of information is known.
