THEIR HISTORY: After Michael's conversion in 1970, they both became very active in the local body of believers. They have served the Lord in almost every capacity and position that is within a local church. In 1972 they entered into full time pastoral ministry. Michael was ordained as a Minister in a major denomination. They labored in the mid-west building up churches in Kansas and Nebraska. They were led of the Lord to relocate to Norwich Connecticut in 1979. They were the first full time pastors of the Norwich Worship Center and have faithfully led the fellowship for 20 years in the ways of the Lord. They lead the Norwich Worship Center in transition from a denominational non-charismatic church to a non-denominational Spirit filled church in Revival.  Presently Michael & Sandra are fulfilling the apostolic mantle that has been placed upon them. The Norwich Worship Center has developed a world vision. Like an "Antioch" the Norwich Worship Center under the leadership of Michael & Sandra have sent out laborers into the Harvest of the Lord. In May of 1999, Michael passed on the role of senior pastor to Jeff and Carol Sharp.  Jeff has worked alongside  Michael for 12 years and relates to Michael as a son in the faith.  Dr. Michael G. & Sandra Maixner founded ELIJAH MINISTRIES in April of 1999. ELIJAH MINISTRIES, is a “Great Commission” ministry, meaning that every facet of our energy is focused on the completion of the Great Commission.  We exist to carry out the purposes of God in this generation.  At the core of our philosophy is working with local bodies of believers to fulfill their vision of international ministry. 
Sandra and Michael have served as pastors in local churches for over 25 years. We desire to be a bridge between the local church and the nations of the earth.  We believe that the local Church is the seedbed for missionaries.  Therefore, our commitment to reach this generation begins with a commitment to the local church.  Our purpose is to help enhance the role of the local church in assuring the success of their efforts of reaching out to the world.
Since the establishment of ELIJAH MINISTRIES we have been privileged to preach the good news on 5 continents in over 20 different nations, 19 different states in the USA and 3 different provinces of Canada. We have witnessed the transformation of many lives. At the beginning of these times of traveling the Lord made it very clear to us that there has been a change in our ministry.  After 25 years as a pastor, the Lord was appointing us to fulfill a new role.  He has taken us to places that very few or no one else wants to go.  The power of the Gospel has changed the atmosphere over areas we have been.  This space is not adequate to tell you all the wonders of the Lord we have seen.  Each nation is a book in itself to be written with each fellowship and individual person a chapter declaring the compassion, love and power of God. He has allowed us to see His miracle power, save, heal, deliver and set thousands of people free.  People from all walks of life have come to know the love of the Father.  We know and declare that Jesus is alive and the same yesterday, today and forever.  We go as we are sent, to do the works of the Lord in the power of His Spirit.  We have been blessed to have men and women in different nations catch the vision of ELIJAH MINISTRIES and work alongside to bring the kingdom of God near to people.  We have established Elijah School of Ministry International, a cultural adaptive ministry training school.  There are three operating at present; in Ghana West Africa, India, and Mindanao, Philippines.
Michael & Sandra believe that every child of God has the potential to be a history maker and a world changer. They are presently mentoring others equipping them to fulfill their destinies.  Their hearts' desire is to bring all people into the fullness of their inheritance promised through a life of intimacy with Jesus.
Michael and Sandra have three grown children Carol, Carrie, Michael II and eight grandchildren.  Dr. Michael and Sandra are to this day very active and involved in the Norwich Worship Center, Norwich Connecticut USA.     

Pastor Jeff Sharp is the Senior pastor of the Norwich Worship Center, Norwich CT.  Jeff with his wife Carol are taking the Norwich Worship Center into the twenty-first century.  They bring a fresh expression of the life of the Lord Jesus to the church.  They have ministered alone and in a team effort in several locations in the USA and Canada.  Jeff has traveled to other nations bringing a fresh zeal of Lord to the body of Christ.  Carol has a refreshing practical way of declaring the message of the gospel.  They are both dynamic preachers and very practical teachers of the Word of God.  Where they have ministered miracles, signs and wonders have followed.  They are affiliated with the International Apostolic Ministries, and are on the board of directors of ELIJAH MINISTRIES.  They can be contacted at the Norwich Worship Center (860)822-9522.  Jeff and Carol have 3 children, Matthew, Luke and Rachel.

     Chris's heart's desire is to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the uttermost parts of the earth.  Whether it is reaching into the low income housing projects of his own community or going to the nations of the world, Chris is always ready to demonstrate God's miracle love power to the people he encounters.  Chris has had the honor and privilege of being God's ambassador to the world.  He has gone to United States, Canada, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Chile, and the US Virgin Islands.  In everyplace he has gone God  has confirmed His Word with miracles, signs and wonders.
    Chris's 4 years as children's pastor of the Norwich Worship Center in Norwich, CT have helped him to express the truths of God's Word in simplicity, enabling him to minister to the children of all ages.  His unique sense of humor and belief that all believers are created to walk in the miraculous will leave you laughing and inspired to become a history maker and change the world around you.
    Chris has been affiliated with Elijah Ministries since its inception and serves on the board of directors of the ministry.

     Allison Riley has yielded herself to the Lord Jesus.  She has demonstrated that God will use anyone to bring a fresh expression of the Truth to people.  Promise the clown was born in San Jose, CA on a ministry trip, she has proven to be a powerful instrument in the hands of the Master.
As on trips to Honduras, where she was used to bring over 200 children to the Lord Jesus.  To the great city of Berlin, Germany where she encouraged so many in the body of Christ to step out in their anointing.  She is also ministering in Norwich, CT going weekly to nursery homes and reminding the people of the promises of God.  She has joined with the other team members taking the gospel to streets of Norwich...it is hard to say no to a clown.  Allison along with her husband Michael Riley have six children and are very active in the local fellowship of the Norwich Worship Center.  Allison is on the board of directors of ELIJAH MINISTRIES.

Pastor Rev. Rudy Dalapu and his wife Vergie.
Pastor Rudy is the Elijah Ministires International representative to the Philippines.  He is also the General overseer of the Minidanao General Council of Ministers of the Assemblies of God.  Pastor Rudy pastors a local congreation as well in the city of Buenavista, Mindanao Philippines.  He and Vergie have three children, Denver, Darleen, and Daisy.

Pastor Rev. Attafuah DaCosta and his wife Elizebeth.
Pastor Attatafuah is the Elijah Ministries International representative for West Africa.  Pastor Attafuah is overseer of the Elijah School of Ministries Internatioanl in Asikuma Ghana, and is president and founder of Attafuah DaCosta Bible Mission, and Child Evangelism International School.  Elizebeth is the is the co-ordinating director of the Child Evangelism Schools with over 700 students including a mission school in Akim Manso.  Attafuah and Elizebeth have five children Michael, Charles, Esther, Benjamin and Elizebeth.
