Fountain Pens
A few years ago I became interested in a couple of old fountain pens that belonged to my father-in-law. I thought they were just a couple of old pens, but found that the Parker 51's were considered some of the best writing instruments of all time.
Now I have a collection of about 30 pens, ranging from antiques, to modern, to a couple of custom made Swisher pens. I use a half dozen inks. You can use colors of inks to convey a mood, make a statement, relate more than just the words written on paper. Strange that I'm using the internet and computer technology to espouse the virtues one of the old forms of writing instruments.
Fountain pens do not have to be expensive. You can find them for as little as ten dollars and they write OK. For about thirty dollars, you get something very nice, stylish, and it looks good in your shirt pocket or on the desk. People notice when you sign your name boldly with a rich colored ink.
I included a couple of sources of pens, inks, and writing supplies on the links page.
