Research Experience
Research Assistant/Predoctoral Fellow, University of Connecticut , Fall 2000-Spring 2005. Primary person responsible for conducting a study investigating plasma oxytocin levels in relation to social and cognitive functioning in children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Recruited 60 research participants and evaluated each one with a comprehensive battery of social and cognitive functioning. Collaborated with colleagues both on and off-site on the collection and analyses of these samples. Data serves as the basis for Master’s thesis (entitled “Affect Processing in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders”) and Doctoral Dissertation (entitled “Plasma Oxytocin Levels in Relation to Social and Cognitive Functioning in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders”)
