Set at the turn of the century, this street is meant to reflect small towns all over the U.S. A horse-drawn trolly shuttles guests along the bustling street. Many brightly colored shops adorn the street, offering visitors everything from taffy to collectibles and souveniers. A 1928 (same year as the birth of Mickey) steam engine locomotive travels the 1-1/2 miles around the park, and takes 21 minutes to ride. Main Street ends in a circle, also known as the "hub." Positioned around the hub are entrances to Adventureland, Liberty Square, Tomorrowland, and Fantasyland, which is accessed by passing through Cinderella's Castle, which has become a signature trademark of not only Disney World, but also of the Disney company as well.
