Otto Ludvik from Vienna Austria own this 1969 Conv. with 351-w-2v and FMX auto
I´ve bought it here in Vienna 3 years ago with a
bad Mainbearing defect and a slipping FMX . The owner sold it
because he
did´nt wanna spend a kidney or sell an eye - to get the money
for the repair. The local US- Car and Parts dealers here in
Vienna dont know anything about Cougars and quality repair -
exept the horrible prices they are asking. I´ve done the block ,030
over, reground the Crank , forged pistons, molly Rings, ALL
Bearings , a EDELBROCK cam and lifter set, new Oilpump lots of
Chromeparts and everything came in from MOTORSTATE by Airplane. A
good rebuilt FMX came also by Plane from REPCO - Orlando. And at
least i was´nt happy with the 2.75 rearend and orderd a complete
thirdmember with 3.25 gears from CMP - of OKLAHOMA. Now i´m
eating nothing else than Potatoesup for the last few month ( joke
).
Honestly - with all the airfraight charges, customs and taxes it
was´nt really cheap but i´ve done all the work myself - and now
that the car takes off like a Rocket. I am very happy and proud.
Technical everything works great now. As i wrote to you last time
- the Dash- lenses and some other parts are needed to call it a
show car. Hope you can help with this pieces.
Pardon my bad english - hope you could follow my explainations.
