Testing dates for the SOI test for Grade Two is March 4-26. Teachers have flexibility within this testing window to administer the tests.

rested, have had a healthy breakfast, and arrive to school on time during the
testing period. Thank you.
Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place from
March 17 through April 4. Evening conference night is Thursday, March 27.
School will be dismissed at 1:55 pm on that day. School will be closed on
Friday, March 28 for professional development. Parents should have received
their conference appointments. Please contact your classroom teacher
immediately if you must reschedule.

Spring Book
Fair
Our Spring Book Fair will be March 13-20, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm daily, (open until 5:00 pm on Wednesday, March 19) in the school library. A wonderful assortment of books provided by Scholastic will be available. Many, many parent volunteers are needed to set up, assist students with wish lists, straighten the tables, and cashier. Please look over the schedule on the attached tear-off, indicate when you would like to help, and return to the Family Room, Attn: Tricia Massucco at your earliest convenience. Special Note: Since the Book Fair does not
coincide with Conferences this year, there are no evening hours planned at this
time. The Book Fair Chairpersons will consider opening the Book Fair on Wednesday

to be open on Wednesday evening March 19, please email Nora Spaulding at

PTO News
The PTO is meeting on Thursday, March 13 at 7:30 pm. Due to the Book Fair, the meeting will be held in the faculty room. The agenda includes committee reports, fund raising updates, and year-end events. The PTO Executive Board has the following vacancies for next year: PTO Council Representative, Recording Secretary, and Corresponding Secretary. Columbus Lottery
The Columbus Lottery will be drawn on Tuesday, March 18 at 7:30 pm in the school auditorium. Columbus parents with children entering next year need not attend – registration information will be mailed after the drawing.

The Parent/Child Book Club will meet on Thursday, March 13 from 3:30-4:30 pm to discuss “Eager,” by Helen Fox. “Unlike Grumps, their old-fashioned robot, the Bell family’s new robot, Eager, is programmed to not merely obey but to question, reason, and exercise free will.” Come and discuss this sci-fi thriller.
