| Looking for Lay Readers and Greeters!! Sign-up cards are located on the bulletin
board in the Church Narthex. It's been great to see new people
volunteering to fill these roles. Please continue signing up. If
you have any questions regarding these roles, contact the Church Office. |
| WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO SAVE A LIFE? Sometimes it takes nothing more than listening. The Samaritans of the Capital Region, a non-profit organization staffed by volunteers who provide emotional support by telephone to those in personal crisis, will begin preparation classes soon. If you are a good listener, the Samaritans invite you to join them in their work. Please call (860) 232-9559 for further information. |

CARING MINISTRY
The Caring Ministry is in need of a few more people to visit with members who are not able to come to church. Visits are scheduled at a mutually convenient time and we try to visit at least once a month. If you are interested in having a delightful conversation with someone who truly appreciates knowing they are not forgotten by their church, please contact one of the pastors (666-4689) or Ann Marino (666-xxxx).
Are you interested in calling on the elderly and home bound in the name of the church? See one of our Caring Ministry team: Ann Marino, Judy Warren, Deb Peruta, Melanie Enfield or Ken Brookes. |
USHERS Needed:
If you are interested
in becoming an Usher, please sign up by using the purple cards on
the bulletin board in the Narthex for the month beginning in June.
Ushers distribute bulletins and greet people at church for about
30 minutes prior to the beginning of service, collect the offering
and present the offering for blessing during the service. Ushering
is a fun way to become involved in your church and offer your services.
If you have any questions about ushering, please inquire of the Head
Usher (wearing the white badge) in the Narthex after the service. |
