Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)

A NEW WAY TO GIVE – ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER (EFT)
Save time, simplify your life, and support the church!
Many of you have asked if it could be possible.  Now it is!

Beginning in January you will have the option to use our new Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) program or Credit Card program as a convenient way to pay your pledge. You may indicate your interest in the program by checking the box on your 2008 pledge card and someone will contact you.

Contact Charlotte Cardone or Judy Warren for more information.

EFT – Frequently Asked Questions

Recently, the Trustees approved the use of EFT as an option to pay your church pledge. Here are some answers to questions you may have about the program.
Q:   What is EFT?
A:   Electronic Funds Transfer is an automatic transfer of your pledge from your checking or savings account directly to the church’s account OR an automatic charge to your credit card for your pledge.
Q:   When does the electronic transfer occur?
A:   We offer 2 options from which you can choose. Monthly on the 1st or 15th of the month.
Q:   How do I enroll?
A:   On your 2008 pledge form, check the box that indicates you are interested in EFT. You will be contacted to complete an authorization form.
Q:   Is the information I provide on the Authorization Form confidential?
A:   Yes. The information will be handled by our Finance Office and the Authorization Forms will be secured in our safety box.
Q:   What if I change banks or accounts?
A:   Simply complete another Authorization Form with the new information.
Q:   What do I do with my pledge envelopes?
A:   You may still put your weekly envelope in the offering plate and mark “EFT” on the outside so the collectors know there is nothing inside the envelope.
Q:   Are there fees associated with using my credit card?
A:   Yes. There is a 2.75% fee assessed for using credit cards and the church member will need to cover the fee so your pledge will be posted at the net amount (payment less the fee).
Q:   Is there a charge to me for using EFT?
A:   The EFT program will not cost you anything, however, if you chose to use your credit card for your church pledge, you will need to cover the fee assessed by the credit card company for this service.
Q:   Can I use EFT for Easy Giving?
A:   Absolutely! Easy Giving has Authorization Forms available each week at their table in Fellowship Hall to get you set up.  If you purchase Easy Giving cards every month, then EFT is the easy way to do this.
