Road Bike rides in Long Island and one in New Jersey
| On August 30, 1997, I went out to Long Island to do some biking in my old haunts. Saturday, I went up to Bald Hill, over to Yaphank, down into Brookhaven and Bellport, and back to East Patchogue. That was a good 30 mile or so ride. Sunday was another good ride shared with my dad up to Rocky Point and Port Jefferson. I cut my ride a bit short ending it in Lake Grove, but not after putting in about 25 or so fast paced miles. There were also some good sized hills up there on the north shore. Monday's ride was into New Jersey to ride the Palisades loop. |
