Greenwich, CT and Brooklyn Rides
| The first ride was on Saturday, October 4, up to Greenwich, Connecticut. The ride started in Queens, and I took Broadway all the way up to McLean Ave. in Yonkers. I then cut over across Westchester, going through Mount Vernon, Harrison, and a bunch of other smallish towns. After I got to Greenwhich (a very nice town), I turned right around and started back through Port Chester. Most of the ride was along Boston Post Road, straight into the underbelly of the Bronx. Although it was getting late out, I found my way to the Tri-Boro bridge, and took my first ever bike trip over it. The view were pretty spectacular, although I didn't care for the multiple stair climbing exercises.
My next ride (the next day) was up into NJ with my standard Palisades loop. Upon getting back over the GW, however, I continued on down 1st Avenue into Chinatown and over the Brooklyn Bridge. I really didn't know the exact route, but I meandered by the Navy Yard and through Greenpoint and eventually found my way back into Long Island City.
